Most
of us drive cars – and cars, being mechanical
beasts, sometimes they don’t work properly!
As a result of talking to friends
and colleagues about how they feel when dealing with
their existing motor
vehicle service provider, Ian Barton and Gabrielle Ceely
discovered that most of them are of a similar opinion.
Generally speaking most garages are not “user friendly” when
it comes to entering into a dialogue with their customers.
Car drivers are often, but not always, completely reliant
on the garage providing them with an accurate assessment
of what needs doing to their car – and without
the benefit of mechanical expertise will generally accept
the diagnosis and remedy given, even if they aren’t
particularly happy with it.
So with this in mind Ian and Gabrielle discovered that
there is a genuine need for a more consumer focused provider
of this type of service. One where the customer can reasonably
expect to be told what work is needed on their car, what
it will cost, and when they can expect this to be done.
All this information provided in plain English and in
a friendly manner.
And so Gabrielle’s Garage was
born out of its town centre premises at 92-100 Earl
Street, Northampton.
They aim to cater for the needs of customers across a
broad spectrum. The location will make it easy for those
who want to leave their vehicle in safe hands all day
whilst they are at work or use the time to do some shopping
nearby. All confident in the knowledge that if the Garage
needs to contact them during this time, they will.
There will be a friendly reception
area where customers can reasonably expect answers
to any questions they may
have relating to their vehicle from knowledgeable and
approachable staff. And for mums with small children
the long term aim is to offer a creche facility so that
the little ones don’t get too bored whilst they
are waiting.
